How to make a box.....

This is really for Nancy... I hope you have found your way here Nance!
so
  1. Cut a square from 2 A4 sheets of card and cut 1cm off 2 edges of one of them to make the smaller bottom part.....

2. mark across the square diagonally to find the centre.

3; Fold each corner in turn into the centre.... Until it looks like this.....

4; fold 2 sides in again, and then mark the lines which you will cut.... Like this....

5; Now fold the sides in and round and the long bits over the top. this will make the box lid!

6; Use the other square to make the box bottom and they should fit snuggly together.....

Hey presto! HOPE IT WORKS!

Is it time to relax yet?

The holidays approach and I am looking forward to whooping it up (in the cheapest way possible) in Brighton. I have even a forray into the realm of straight socialising! As opposed to gay socialising as I am usually used. to. First up will be the lovely quaint "park party" in St Annes Wells Gardens. It promises all sorts of delights such as stalls, a stage with local bands (including Dear Jon- on at 11.30 and sporting the lovely Jon singing) and ... wait for it.... a knitting corner! Oh bliss! The rest of the week I hope will hold some R&R and some quality times with Simon and Bosie. Just a shame there will be no Drew. Oh well. His loss!

All things Bright and Beautiful

So Carla suggested it today and I was thinking. Maybe it would be good for me to get it all off my (far too ample) chest?
so here is entry one. Let's see where it goes.......
this monday morning brought the new challenge of leading a Worship assembly for the first time (its a C of E school). I lured the kids into a false sence of security with CBBCs first thing and had to do the register 3 times before they noticed me doing it.
I survived the challenge and live to say another prayer. thanks to Cat Stevens and the Creation story.
